Since 2009, The Women’s Lobby of Colorado has prepared an annual scorecard, which serves as a guide to Coloradans about issues that are important to women. The annual scorecard contains voting records of each member of the Colorado State Legislature on priority bills for the Women's Lobby of Colorado.
Each year, 10-15 bills are selected that represent a wide range of women's issues. Individual and organizational members help select which bills will be included in the annual scorecard. The bills selected represent priorities of the Women's Lobby, our member organizations, or our partners in coalition efforts.
Legislators are scored based on bills that made it to the 3rd reading. Legislators are assigned scores based on if they voted consistently with the Women's Lobby position, against the Women's Lobby position, or did not vote. The legislators' total scores indicates the percent of the time that the legislator voted consistent with the Women's Lobby position.
The Women's Lobby encourages you to view these scorecards, linked below, to determine how your legislator voted based on your own values and beliefs, and to contact your representatives to let them know you viewed their scores. You can find out who your legislators are by visiting www.votesmart.com.
